Professional Profile
Pim van Geffen PhD PGeo - Principal Geochemist
Pim has worked in mineral exploration and mining around the globe for the past 15 years, on various projects and commodities, from greenfields exploration to mine development and geometallurgy. He has a PhD from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, and a MSc degree from Utrecht University in the Netherlands. He started his professional career as a geochemist with Anglo American Exploration and later joined the team of expert geochemical consultants at ioGlobal Solutions, before its incorporation into REFLEX Geosciences (IMDEX). He is a registered Professional Geoscientist with Engineers & Geoscientists British Columbia, a fellow of the Association of Applied Geochemists, and a member of the Association for Mineral Exploration British Columbia and the Society of Economic Geologists. He serves on the Technical Advisory Committee of Geoscience BC and the Technology Transfer Committee of the Canada Mining Innovation Council.
